Role of the Parish Council

The Parish Council is the lowest tier of local government sitting below the Borough and County Councils. There are seven Parish Councillors who all live in the Parish.  We work hard for our parishioners and are grateful to the many volunteers who also make a vital contribution to our small community. Our day to day work covers a wide range of areas as described below.

Administration & Finance

  • Effective management and governance of the Parish Council
  • Maintenance of the Parish Office and employment of the Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer
  • Management of finances and parish assets
  • Securing funding for parish projects and improvements
